Creating a little humor never hurts.

Creating a little humor during the interview never hurts. However, it needs to be tasteful and fit the situation. It also depends on the people you are visiting with.

You must also make sure that you do not say anything offensive. Like if someone is religious and you tell them religious joke that would offend them.

Any type of joking I would do would fit the situation. Or if you have a great joke.

Like if they offer me a cookie, I use to say I am well I am on a seafood diet, hesitate and then say if I see food I eat it.

Again, telling a few good jokes can lighten up the interview.

And jokes certainly need to be tailored to the culture one lives in.
